What your Glovebox has to do with your Happiness

I’ll say, I had no idea that as I booked my appointment at Alma Reiki, that afterwards, I’d feel the happiest I’d felt in a long while. I was nervous to say the least… I didn’t know what was going to happen, and who I was going to be talking to, and it felt totally strange seeking guidance from somebody I’d never met before. But after I sat down with Lauren, in her office with a hot cup of tea in my hand, it was as if I was talking to a friend. And the first words that Lauren spoke to me rang so true, It made me cry. The amazing thing about Lauren is that she describes feelings within you that perhaps you’ve been feeling but that you weren’t consciously aware of. Before I talked to Lauren, I was feeling very dissatisfied and upset, I couldn’t put my finger on why I was feeling this way. But Lauren hit the nail on the head, and she made it clear to me why I had been feeling these things. Which allowed me to take the steps to improve my life. After I walked out of Laurens office, it felt as if I was walking on a cloud… and I couldn’t stop smiling. After my experience with Lauren, I understand how supressed emotions can make a person ill. And it becomes like a glovebox in a car, that keeps on falling open. And you keep on slamming it shut, over and over, without realising no matter how many times you shut it, its going to fall open. Because fixing it, requires a closer look at its hinges or at the handle itself.
